Japanese sweets

 


Starting from the top, moving clock-wise:

  • Nyuka - baked cake with milk flavored moderately sweet white bean paste filling.
  • Kuriman - baked cake with chestnut flavored sweet white bean paste filling, embedded with small chunks of crushed chestnuts.
  • Kurikasutera - castella (sponge cake) with chestnut flavored sweet white bean paste filling, embedded with small chunks of crushed chestnuts.
  • Momoyama - baked cake with sweet red bean paste filling wrapped with white bean paste.
  • Momiji - castella with red bean paste filling embedded with small bits of red beans.
